Executive DirectorVivian Havlin
Executive DirectorVivian Havlin started working for Citizens’ Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, Inc. on March 28, 2004 as the Secretary for the organization. In 2007, she was granted the opportunity to become the Administrator and quickly learned every aspect of the organization. As the Administrator, she was able to bring the organization’s financials to be fully sustainable for a fiscal year ensuring services to our schools and neighborhoods in the event of any emergencies. She became a Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner (FCPA) through the Florida Attorney General the summer of 2011. She is also certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Newly certified, she was given the opportunity of presenting our program to students by a former employee in which she realized the difference we can make by reaching our youth; and the importance of our Youth Crime Watch program. She has done it all in our organization and is eager to embark in this new opportunity of serving our Community as the new Executive Director. She believes in teamwork and is entering this new phase with the support of the staff and the confidence that together we will continue with our Mission Statement.
She is married to a Miami-Dade Police Officer and has great insight into Law Enforcement and understands the importance of a positive relationship between the Community and the Police. With the support of her family, the Community, our Honorable Elected Officials, and all the Police Departments serving in our County, she feels confident that Citizens’ Crime Watch of Miami Dade can truly “Take a Bite Out of Crime”.
